FLY FISHING IN GEVSJÖSTRÖMMEN
Gevsjöströmmen is one of the most famous waters in Västjämtland, where many trout over 70cm are caught every year.
It is a nice stream that is suitable for fishing both with dry flies, nymphs and streamers.
Fishing is good from mid-June, but at its best from mid-July until closing at the end of August.
During the period 16 June - 31 August, it is possible to redeem fishing licenses in the Gevsjöströmmen.
The cards are redeemed in connection with booking Gevsjöstugan.
The number of people for whom Gevsjöstugan is booked is the number of people who are allowed to purchase fishing licenses in the Gevsjöströmmen. 2-8 cards. This means that only guests of the cabin have access to buy fishing licenses in the Gevsjöströmmen.
Here you and your party have the opportunity to fish undisturbed and without crowds, for large-grown trout.
Only fly rods are allowed.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Gevsjöstugan is divided into two apartments with a shared toilet and shower. In each apartment there are 4 beds spread over two bedrooms. There is also a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. Fridge/freezer and drying cabinet.
Outside the cottage there is a wind shelter with a barbecue area.
We never book more than one party per stay. So if you are, for example, 2-4 people, you have access to one apartment, and if you are 5-8 people, you have access to two apartments. See pictures and more info under the tab Gevsjöstugan.

SEK 1995 per day 2-4 people
SEK 2495 per day 5-8 people
Shortest stay 3 days.
Fishing license costs SEK 450 per person per day.
Boat with motor and life jackets included in the price. It is a boat trip of about 15-20 minutes from the cottage to the Gevsjöströmmen.
At the stream there is a shelter from the wind with a roof. There is also a fireplace and utensils for cooking.

The slideshow shows some of the larger trout that have been caught in the Gevsjöström in recent years. Many large trout are taken every year, and the very largest are up to 8kg and 90cm.
The film shows the Gevsjö Stream. The stretch is about 2km long with varying water.
